Tuesday Bible Study: The Way of Beauty!

We continue “The Way of Beauty” this Tuesday, Feb 11 with a class on the Repentant Saint Peter.  Our Bible texts are Matthew 26:31-46,69-75, Mark 14:27-42,66-72, Luke 22:31-36,54-62, and John 13:36-38; 18:15-18,25-27.  We will take a look at the one piece of art at CMA depicting this scene: an oil painting by French artist Georges de La Tour, as well as pieces by El Greco and Dali in other famous American collections.  Bonus Bible question: can you tell anything about the nature of the texts in the Synoptic versions (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) just by looking at these verse citations?  Classes meet from 10-11:30 AM in the Community Room.  Bring your Bible and a notebook!
