What is METRO?

Metro exists to introduce anyone and everyone in the Cleveland area to the love of God through Jesus. This mission is inspired by Psalm 27:4, where David proclaims his wholehearted desire to “gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”

Rev Dan Schlegel, Wednesday, January 29 at 7pm - Litany of Healing

This litany was composed and led by Fr. Boniface Hicks, OSB for Friday night’s Revival Session at the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis in 2024.  This is intended to be prayed as a group before the Blessed Sacrament with a leader and responses.  It can also be prayed personally and devotionally anywhere, especially by placing ourselves in our imagination before the Eucharist in our favorite Church or even by looking at the Blessed Sacrament in an adoration chapel that is broadcast online.  As you pray through this, take your time, and let the words sink into your heart.  Try to notice movements in your heart and any particular lines that might stand out.  This is an opportunity to expose places that need healing, especially places in our hearts that are ready for healing.  It might also help to remember the 50,000 participants who prayed this together at the National Eucharistic Congress in Lucas Oil Stadium.

"Despite what the name of the channel suggests, I am not actually a monk. I am a practicing medical doctor. Several years ago, I started the practice of daily meditation – or contemplative prayer – and it changed my life. It helped me realize that Jesus is truly alive, and I encountered Him in a way that was so real it almost felt physical. The purpose of this channel is to help create a space of encounter with the Lord, and to lead people down a similar path of spiritual growth.

Metro Bible Study – also known as “MetroLive” - initially started in 1994, with a simple vision in mind. A group of young adults dreamed of a place where people from across the Houston area could gather weekly to worship with one another and study God’s word.

This dream was soon realized as thousands of college students, singles, and married young adults in their 20-30s began gathering weekly to connect with God and one another. The Lord faithfully blessed this ministry for 20 years, providing a space for people to learn what it means live for Jesus in their young adult years.

After experiencing this in Houston in a life changing way, Tom Pussel Director of Outreach has started a Cleveland version of Metro. The vision is no different than that of the Houston space: to be a place where people from across our city can come to worship Jesus, hear from His word, and walk with him for a lifetime.  There will be time for prayer and adoration at the end. An opportunity to connect with others 'Late Night' at local establishments afterwards always included.
