As we enter into this holy season of Lent, let us remember in our prayers the Elect and Candidates who are preparing to join our Catholic family.  The Elect - those preparing for baptism - have been called by name and are entering into the final stages of their journey toward the waters of rebirth.  The Candidates, who have already been baptized in another Christian tradition, are preparing to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.

These men and women have been meeting regularly on Monday nights, growing in their faith, and finding new life in the teachings of our Church.   Lent marks a time of final preparation, examination, and purification for both the Elect and Candidates as they prepare to fully embrace the Catholic faith.

Please join us in praying for our Elect and Candidates, that they may be strengthened by the Holy Spirit and drawn ever closer to Christ in these final weeks of their journey.   May their hearts be open to the grace of this season, and may our prayers support them as they continue to grow in faith, hope, and love.
